Why This Role Is Valuable:

The Head of Operations will lead and oversee all manufacturing operations ensuring the efficient production of high-quality products. This role demands exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes specific to the fast-paced sector in which we operate. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, foster innovation, and ensure that all operations align with the company's broader business goals and sustainability objectives.

You will Directly manage a Team of 4 People, consisting of 3 shift Managers and a Manufacturing Manager with overall responsibility for a department of approximately 500 colleagues.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Proven experience in manufacturing management within the UK’s chilled foods sector, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.  Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of FMCG manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and advanced manufacturing technologies.  Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire large teams, with a track record of driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.  Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of manufacturing finance, budgeting, and cost management.  Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.  Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.  Innovation: A forward-thinking approach with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.  Sustainability Focus: Commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility within manufacturing.
