Governance Manager

We're looking for a proactive, innovative and people orientated individual to undertake the role of Governance Manager within our Governance team.
You'll join us at an exciting time as we continue to streamline the governance arrangements post-partnership with Silva Homes and explore options for a formal partnership with Octavia Housing. This brings new and stimulating challenges to create an even stronger organisation.
You'll have experience of working in a regulated environment, a strong understanding of governance and best practice with a sound knowledge of applicable legislation. Have a good understanding of the uniqueness of the housing sector and how we are governed and regulated are beneficial. You'll be CGI or legally qualified, although we’ll consider experience as well as qualifications.
We're looking for an individual who understands the importance of governance being the perfect mixture of both people and process. You'll also be collaborative and work alongside the business to ensure continued high standards of governance are delivered.
You'll be highly literate and have the emotional intelligence to read a room and converse appropriately with key stakeholders. It's essential you are used to working in a confidential environment and respect commercial sensitivities.
Experience of managing a team is essential as you'll be responsible for managing members of the Governance team; the team is dynamic, enthusiastic and works at a fast pace with ambitions to be a sector leading Governance team.
You'll be expected to work in an agile manner covering all our locations. We offer hybrid working so, when you're not working from home, you'll be able to be based out of either out Eastleigh office (SO50 6AD), Horndean office (PO8 9NN), Bracknell office (RG12 1RF) or our Yeovil office (BA22 8WN).
