The Opportunity:

HKA is seeking to recruit an established Waste Expert to join our growing of Environment & Climate Change team as part of the development of the business. The team has seen huge success in terms of client development and project work both live and in the pipeline.

For those that are Expert Witness operating on their own right, this is an opportunity to join a business that will promote you on a local or global stage depending on your aspirations and provide you relevant technical support rather than that which is available to assist you. HKA is a truly independent specialist consultancy free of conflict from unrelated service streams and provides rewards unique to our industry which are tailored and directly linked to your role as an Expert and also your contribution to the business in providing work and utilising staff.

The ideal candidate will have been appointed as an Expert Witness and have experience of giving formal evidence in court or arbitrations.

Expert experience in at least one of the following areas and high level of awareness of other areas within this discipline grouping.

Landfill General Waste Management Waste Plant and Design Recycling Permitting and Licences

Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Well rounded and established within your area of expertise
  • Degree qualified in suitable area of expertise
  • Chartered Engineer is preferable
  • Experience in Expert Witness Report writing
  • Appointed as an Expert and have experience of giving formal evidence in court or arbitrations
  • A robust network of people in your area of expertise
  • Experience of leading team of specialists
