What are we looking for?

Proven current development DBA experience in RDBMS (Oracle 19c/Oracle Goldengate/Postgres 15 and optionally SQL Server). Some exposure to DBA tasks on NoSQL(Couchbase 7/Cassandra). Strong understanding of backups, disaster recovery, high availability and failover design concepts. Experience in collaborating with development teams to design and optimize database schemas and queries with ability to guide application teams in debugging performance issues. Proven experience of configuring Oracle/PostgreSQL databases for optimal performance and resource utilization and ability to make decisions on capacity planning and sizing. Knowledge of database monitoring solutions and ability to debug and address replication, failover or performance issues. Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to pick up new database challenges, with an ability to think outside the box. Must be prepared to work outside normal working hours from time to time. The ideal candidate must have good communication skills in English DevOps skills (GIT, Liquibase, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins), and knowledge of database implementation on the Cloud, would be a bonus. Demonstrable experience in implementing and/or managing such systems in 1 or more database technologies.

Working Closely with our application and infrastructure team partners to provide resilient, performant, secure and compliant database solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate/ Postgraduate IT related qualifications preferable and ideally previously worked in financial company / fintech, with 5+ years experience in relevant roles.

Preferred Qualifications

Current certification in relevant database technologies.
