Role Purpose:

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Finance Manager to work across multiple workstreams and support senior leaders across the wider business make data-driven decision making to maximise returns to Good Causes. 

Role Responsibilities:
  • Finance accountability across one of Product/Channel/Marketing performance, business partnering the Senior Leadership team ensuring they deliver on their business objectives.
  • Commentary for weekly and monthly trading performance, providing insightful analysis and highlighting risks and opportunities for inclusion in Exec and Board updates.
  • Finance lead for business cases for the functional area of support ensuring Revenue and cost assumptions are captured, well articulated and maximising EBITDA.
  • Supporting to ‘deliver the new’ working on new initiatives and modelling assumptions for new projects and areas of business growth to support ambitious growth plans.
  • Business Partner Senior leaders within the organisation to ensure they are clear on the targets, support to identify risks and opportunities and ensure these are well articulated.
  • Finance lead across broader finance ensuring where initiatives overlap, colleagues work efficiently together to optimise and ensure accurate reported on
  • Work with the Finance Product and Marketing Heads and the wider business to lead the budget and quarterly reforecast process, ensuring clear summaries for delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
  • To provide financial support and guidance to your business partners on a wide range of ad hoc queries
  • Being a trusted Finance Business partner in the delivery of business cases for New Products, developments to Retail/Digital estate and Marketing strategy, ensuring business objectives are met.
  • Line management of 1 colleague (qualified or studying towards qualification)

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant
  • Advanced Excel Modelling and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to apply this to decision making and recommendations.
  • Ability to work independently, and create own priorities and manage upwards accordingly.
  • Presentation skills and experience influencing business stakeholders
  • People Management experience required.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Displays excellent attention to detail.
  • Understanding of Lottery/Gaming industry beneficial.
