Commercial Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Finance Manager to join our International FMCG business. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the company's exponential growth and expansion of the Finance team.

This role requires a confident and skilled individual who can add value immediately, with excellent stakeholder management skills and significant exposure to the CFO and CEO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide in-depth financial analysis and reporting on brand, product category, and product performance, including sales (volume & mix), cost, and margin.
  • Sales Reporting and Analysis: Develop and present sales reports and analysis for senior-level stakeholders, highlighting key trends and insights.
  • Financial Insights and Commentary: Analyze KPI reports, including channel, customer, and product profitability, and provide investigation and commentary on variance to plan for a range of senior directors.
  • Month-End Commentary and Analysis: Provide month-end commentary and analysis of sales and margin comparisons to budget and prior year, and liaise with the Commercial team to understand and challenge performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Commercial and Business Analysis: Conduct robust commercial and business analysis across customer, categories, and products, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Information and Data Analysis: Ensure complex information and data is turned into clear and digestible information, supporting decision-making across the commercial teams.
  • Decision Support: Provide insightful and accurate recommendations to support decision-making across the commercial teams.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Take a lead role in the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with commercial and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate allocation of deductions and understanding of drivers of distribution.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • Finance Professional: A finance professional with significant qualified experience, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Qualifications: CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to influence at all levels.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Initiative and Articulation: Robust, confident, articulate, and initiative-driven.
