About the Role
The purpose of this role is to provide data science support for the Women’s Health Research Unit (WHRU) at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health. This role includes overseeing all data management processes and data linkage tasks and activities for a portfolio of projects, preparing statistical analysis plans and preparing and analysing data.
The post-holder will work within the Centre for Public Health and Policy (CPHP) within the newly formed Wolfson Institute for Population Health (WIPH). CPHP is a thriving research Centre that incorporates a number of collaborative units who work closely together to deliver outstanding research based on their combined and complementary research strengths. The post-holder will contribute in particular to the data stream of the Tommy’s Centre for Preterm Birth which is placed within the WHRU ().
WIPH brings together some of the UK’s leading researchers, practitioners, and educators in a vibrant, multidisciplinary group with the aim of delivering world-leading research and education to inform and support local, national, and global primary care and public health.
About You
You will have PhD or equivalent experience in bioinformatics, statistics, epidemiology, or a relevant field such as computer science, operational research or a related quantitative field. You will have excellent data management skills as well as strong analytical and interpretative skills.

The Wolfson Institute of Population Health harnesses expertise across a wide range of population-based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health and preventive medicine. The Institute is organised into five research centres and the Centre for Public Health & Policy (CPHP) draws together groups focussing on women’s health, global public health, the national diet, and individual health and lifestyle.
