Software Engineer in Test Opportunity

As a Veson Nautical Software Engineer in Test you will help ensure product quality and customer satisfaction for the world’s leading developer of commercial maritime software.

In this role you will collaborate with product and software development teams to define test execution plans, ensuring comprehensive and tactical automation coverage. You will be empowered to create, enhance and execute robust automated tests and solve a broad spectrum of challenging issues around designing, creating, and scaling large automated test suites.

You will be expected to collaboratively experiment, prototype, take risks, and document your work while helping to build new applications, microservices, and tools used by our Cloud Service offerings.

Veson Nautical uses JavaScript,Playwright, and Cucumber BDD to write tools and tests, but QA team members are encouraged to explore and implement the best approaches and tools for the job. Bring your enthusiasm, curiosity, energy, and drive to help deliver software at the highest level of quality.

Responsibilities:

Development of manual test plans and functional and exploratory testing on web and mobile applications Development and execution of end-to-end UI, API, workflow, and integrationtests Development of testing tools, frameworks, and pipelines used for day-to-day release hardening and development testing Work with product and engineering teams to give feedback on test cases, automation failures, and feature designs Work closely with the Engineering and SRE teams to define, develop, and maintain a wide range of automated tests and code deployments

Qualifications

3+ years of experience writing manual test plans and doing in depth testing based on feature requirements 3+ years’ experience building, designing, and maintaining Automation Test Frameworks Experience with a variety of testing tools and scripting languages such as JavaScript,Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, or any other substitute technologies Strong understanding of UI automation and subsequent tools Strong understanding of API testing and subsequent tools Experience working in an Agile environment Ability to speak French is a plus Knowledge of Graphql is a plus Experience testing mobile applications is a plus Knowledge of performance testing is a plus
