About The Role

No two days are the same in this job; you will contribute to the excellent work carried out by the team and service as a whole. This is an opportunity to help with leading the Occupational Therapy service in Adult Social Care, your role will be critical in ensuring that we deliver a high quality service, this will include:

  • Working as part of a high performing service that is dedicated to providing the right OT service at the right time for individuals.
  • Supporting staff to develop in their roles and careers, through coaching and mentoring
  • Providing a strength-based approach to leadership
  • Promoting a positive approach to service development and new ways of working.

About The Team

We have 3 locality teams that are well established and consist of an OT Team Manager, OT Lead Practitioner, Occupational Therapists and Community Care Officers. Team members undertake functional assessments and make recommendations using a strength-based approach to support individuals to meet their outcomes and to maximise their independence.

We are proud that our teams are friendly and work in a supportive manner. Most team members work in a hybrid way, with a mixture of home working and days in the office. When working from home team members stay in regular contact using MS Teams. Monthly team meetings provide an excellent opportunity to come together, and we use these times to eat lots of cake

About you

The post holder must hold a professional Occupational Therapy qualification e.g. Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy and ensure that registration with the HCPC is maintained and renewed appropriately.

You should be able to demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development and to work as part of a team, learning from and contributing to the development of others.
