We have an exciting opportunity as we're currently looking to recruit a Deputy Supervisor for a prestigious automotive client based in the Crewe area of Cheshire.
As Deputy Supervisor, you'll be responsible for organising small teams of inspectors, supporting with ongoing training provision and supervision as well as liaising with the engineering team and managers on a daily basis.
A good understanding of automotive manufacturing process, quality procedures and relevant documentation would be extremely beneficial as is previous supervisory or management experience
Applications for this role will be considered from candidates who can demonstrate previous experience within a similar supervisory or team leader level role, ideally within an automotive manufacturing or supply chain environment. Consideration may also be given to experienced inspectors with proven skills and experience within a similar environment who can demonstrate the ability to lead and supervise small teams.
Attention to detail will be critical within this role and you'll also need to be computer literate with proven ability of utilising IT systems with previous experience in using SAP or at least a solid working knowledge of it as a minimum.
Some of the key job responsibilities are further outlined below:
- Creating and managing jobs within our EOS Data management system using a handheld device
- Training and supervision of small teams of Quality Inspectors
- Effective and confident communication as you'll need to liaise directly with engineering teams and managers
- Excellent learning agility and proficiency in being able to understand and utilise software systems such as SAP, so being computer literate is essential
- Responsible for managing Goods in/out
Requirements
Based in the Crewe area of Cheshire, this role is also commutable from Winsford, Nantwich, Northwich, Chester, Wrexham, Whitchurch, Knutsford, Congleton, Warrington, Macclesfield and Stoke-on-Trent as well as many other areas of the Cheshire and Staffordshire regions.
