The grid flex domain operates in a dynamic start-up-like environment within our established company and plays a crucial role in achieving our recurring revenue goals. This role promises to be both challenging and immensely rewarding, offering the opportunity to experiment, learn, and have a genuine impact on the wider business as we expand our product offerings into exciting new areas.  Our Talent Acquisition team would love to tell you more about the roadmap so please do ask if you’re curious   Pod Point isn't just evolving; it's Powering Up. To support this, the successful applicant should live within a reasonable commuting distance of our office located at Gray's Inn Road, London, WC1X 8HB.

Join the EVolution:  If you possess a curious mindset, excel in a dynamic environment, and regularly think outside the box, this role could be perfect for you. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing and supporting software products in line with product and architecture roadmaps.
  • Demonstrating strong, sustainable and collaborative software development practices that are focused on delivering high quality, readable, maintainable and appropriate code and other artefacts.
  • Actively participating in team and community events.
  • Ensuring the high quality of delivered solutions through the development and maintenance of unit and integration tests and associated pipelines.
  • Collaborating with your line manager to identify opportunities and areas of growth.
Electrify us with your skills:  We think this role would be great for an adaptable and experienced backend cloud aware engineer who is ready to step into a mid-level role as well as someone with:
  • Experience with some of the following backend technologies:

  • Experience of unit and functional testing.
  • Understanding of OOP principles, design patterns and Event Driven Architectures.
  • Experience in modern development practices, such as agile, lean, CI/CD and TDD.
Perks that spark joy:
  • Salary Sacrifice EV Scheme & free Pod Point
  • 25 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays)

We’re all brilliant individuals, and we wholeheartedly welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. We’re looking for the potential to grow and a passion for our mission, not perfection. So, if you’re interested in the role but don’t have every skill listed above, we’d encourage you to apply.  We're proud to be a Disability Confident Level 1 employer. We understand that everyone has their own way of working, so if you require any adjustments to our recruitment process, just give our Talent Acquisition team a shout.
