If so, we have an amazing opportunity for you Step Teachers are collaborating with a school in St Albans to recruit outstanding SEN Teaching Assistants for day-to-day, short-term, and long-term positions. The school aims to create an outstanding learning environment that nurtures students' social, intellectual, and emotional growth and helps them develop new and existing skills. Successful candidates will be expected to commence their roles without delay.

SEN Teaching Assistant Role:

  • As a SEN Teaching Assistant you should be able to provide one-on-one sessions with special needs kids.
  • Assist with classroom management and create a positive and safe classroom atmosphere.
  • Encourage student participation and engagement in classroom activities.
  • Help maintain a clean and organised learning environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young children, especially in an educational setting, is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Willingness to collaborate with teachers and support staff.
  • A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
