What we're looking for you to demonstrate: 

  • Stock Management: Maintain all stocks under optimal conditions.
  • Mise en Place: Prepare all mise en place freshly and on time.
  • Recipe Adherence: Ensure all dishes are prepared according to the correct recipes and quantities.
  • Presentation: Ensure dishes reach the hot plate or pass with the correct garnish, portion size, and presentation.
  • Cleanliness: Keep your section clean and tidy at all times.
  • Communication: Promptly communicate any anticipated shortages to the Head Chef.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a professional work environment, treating all staff fairly and with courtesy.
  • Leadership: Deputise in the Head Chef’s absence and take charge of the kitchen when directed.
  • Professional Development: Attend training courses and seminars as required, and strive to study management subjects for future advancement.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all company rules and regulations relating to Hygiene, Health, and Safety, ensuring they are strictly followed and recorded correctly.
  • Experience: We're looking for 1-2 years' experience in a similar role, however we welcome applications from Chefs with tons of personality, and a willingness to learn with us.
