Job summary – What to expect:
As a Team Leader within our warehouse function, you will assume day to day leadership for the activities within all Raw Materials across our Hamble and Chandlers Ford sites.
Instructs the shift team, you will arrange efficient operation in the timebound critical tasks of materials stock call-off, goods receipt, storage, issuing, packing and distribution of inventory in accordance with all relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs). The role has specific lead responsibility for some essential routines such as Inventory Cycle Counting, Blisters Inventory and training.
You will also monitor, motivate and develop the operator’s performance ensuring that all training is reviewed, documented and administrated in the electronic control system & Competency testing training systems for permanent and temporary staff (as appropriate) and that the departmental objectives are achieved within specified time frames.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
Under direction of the Warehouse Operations Leader, execute the Inventory Cycle Count process for all Raw Materials and Engineering Warehouses at Hamble and Chandler’s Ford sites. Ensure rigorous inventory integrity for all items, especially high value stock items. Work with Supply Chain colleagues, QA Materials, Engineering Spares team to ensure inventory levels are correct and to identify items that are obsolete or surplus to requirement. Monitor Blisters inventory levels (daily). Call-off the required Blister order quantities from the agreed suppliers to maintain optimum stock levels for Production. Liaise directly with the Suppliers and Procurement Dept on delivery schedules and material quantity. Compile and distribute the Warehouse KSI Report (daily). In doing so, ensure the departmental KSI targets are met (or where possible exceeded) in alignment with all CVM requirements, including production and inventory targets, quality standards and customer requirements. Ensure all Daily Checklists are completed for the Shift, maintaining an accurate and auditable daily record of critical safety and quality data (. integrity of all warehouse cold storage facilities temperature recording, fork-lift trucks pre-use checks). Promptly report any variances to the Warehouse Operations Leader.A full job description is available on request.
Work Environment:
Post-holder working environment will be a combination of indoor and outdoor working within the Warehouse areas, including sub-zero Cold Stores, Yards and drop off / collection points around the Hamble and Chandler’s Ford sites. Indoor work includes significant time spent on a computer. Driving the Warehouse company delivery vehicles. Handling of chemicals and dangerous goods for transport. Operation of manual handling equipment, including fork-lift truck, with safe and competent operating technique is essential. Occasionally manual lifting to 20 kg. About you:
We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of company EHS and Quality requirements as well a good knowledge of warehouse environment and procedures as well as inventory management systems.
Experience & Education:
Required
Minimum 3 years working in a similar operational team environment. Proven experience in Leadership activities within a manufacturing or support department environment, ideally supported by formal Leadership training. High appreciation of EHS and Quality requirements. Good general standard of education. Relevant IT skills including company IT systems and Microsoft OfficePreferred
Good working knowledge of Warehouse and Inventory management processes (preferred).What we offer:
