The base
We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We're close to our clients, in the heart of the UK's financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly.


The team
Research Innovation are responsible for helping to set, drive and embed the way research tools work for Equities, Credit and Quant. You will work with all Equity and Credit Investment desks, IIU, Investment change, technology and operations to make the vision a reality and bring it all together. A large part of this is data, tooling, and AI which you will help enable across Investment as a whole. Embedding the changes is a people orientated role.


Communication
Assist in providing key materials for working groups, steer cos and other key meetings.
Responsibility for production of newsletter(s) and change updates to key stakeholders


Governance
• Help maintain backlog of work
• Help govern the operating model we are putting into place.

Stakeholder management
• Create and update stakeholder map of usage of research tools and data for reference by wider change team.
• Develop effective relationships across the Operations, Global Technology, market data and Investment to understand impact of the change we are delivering.
• Ensures appropriate input is provided and considered by all stakeholders for key strategic decisions and problem-solving discussions.


Data 
• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards to track and measure adoption of change we are responsible for. 
• Help to facilitate the management of data throughout investment with a focus on the content.
• Provide analysis of data used across Investment for prioritisation.
• Assist in curation of the data acquisition priorities.
• Research potential vendors to fulfil the priorities.


Desirable knowledge, experience and qualifications
• Experience of the research lifecycle within the Asset Management industry 
• Experience of data management and governance
• Interest and ability in querying data and representing data though dashboards.
• Experience in data visualization tooling such as Tableau or PowerBI
• Experience of requirements elicitation through direct interaction with business users and their processes (Interviews, observation and workshops) to define operating models.
• Experience of working with senior business stakeholders
• Logical, structured thought processes and good problem-solving skills.
• Good relationship management skills 
• Strong communication skills - written, pictorial, presentational and verbal at all levels within the organisation 
• Able to demonstrate initiative.
• Able to work well in a team.


The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
• An interest in the challenges within the Asset Management Industry
• Subject matter expertise related to one or more business areas.
• Any experience cod'ing in, SQL and/or Python or willing to learn.
