We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Area Fitness Manager to oversee the ultimate member journey across multiple locations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for curating and managing a diverse timetable of over 100 fitness classes, ensuring that our offerings meet the highest standards of quality and member satisfaction. You will lead and inspire a talented team of fitness professionals and instructors, fostering a positive and motivating environment. This role is ideal for someone with substantial experience in Leisure or Health and Fitness, who has a proven track record in managing large teams and is eager to broaden their expertise and influence.

We are a not-for-profit leisure trust with we have a strong purpose and commitment to support our local communities and hard-to-reach groups encouraging them to become more active, contributing to improved lives. From Swimming lessons, to walking football and everything in-between we are driven to provide fun and welcoming sessions to support the whole community to be active, both within our leisure centres and in the local community.

Hours: 37 hours a week - Monday to Sunday - Rota Basis

Requirements

Strong people management skills Experience of problem solving, organizational, customer service and staff management Experience of at least three years in a fitness facility Experience of sales, developing key targets and implementing marketing strategies A high awareness of industry developments, new activities, trends and research Good commercial awareness which translates into a successful and financially viable operation A passion for the industry demonstrated through continuous professional development Well developed interpersonal skills, able to negotiate and persuade people both internally and externally Team orientated approach, able to work across organisation boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of staff and colleagues Mobility to travel across sites Excellent communication skills, able to think on your feet Excellent time management skills - able to deal with a number of priorities at once A self starter who inspires others with their passion and energy

Desirable

Education to degree level or equivalent GP Referral qualified A relevant higher professional qualification in leisure or fitness First Aid at Work Defibrillation Experience of identifying staff training and development requirements and implementing development opportunities An ability to identify and nurture talent Good computer skills and understanding To be able to work flexibly with a good level of autonomy
