Job Description

Step Teachers are currently working with an excellent Nursery School within Dagenham to find a SEND Nursery Assistant, for a part-time or full-time position. We offer competitive rates and amazing perks

The Nursery School is very aware of the importance of children’s well-being and enabling them to grow into happy individuals that flourish. They aim to create an environment where their main focus is to strive for each child to develop a passion for learning and a sense of excitement in their achievement and that of others. The SEND Nursery Assistant needs to be fully flexible, passionate and having nursery experience would be advantageous.

SEND Nursery Assistant Role:

  • Provide one-on-one or within small groups.
  • Assist with nursery management and create a positive and safe classroom atmosphere.
  • Encourage student participation and engagement in nursery activities.
  • Help maintain a clean and organised learning environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns.

SEND Nursery Assistant Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young children, especially in a special educational needs setting, is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Willingness to collaborate with teachers and support staff.
  • A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
