The Main Purpose of theChildrens Support Workeris:

  • Provide care forchildren/young people supporting and contributing to the individualassessment and the implementation of plans for theirfuture.
  • Support the child/youngperson in achieving their daily living needs and promoting livingskills.
  • Be actively part ofsafeguarding the young people within and away from the home andreporting any concerns


We are looking for aChildren s Support Worker with some of thefollowing skills andattributes:

  • A level offlexibility as required to work shift patterns including day shiftsevening shifts and sleepinginduties.
  • Good Communication asliaising with colleagues externally; with relatives othersignificant people and outsideagencies.
  • Being able to formrelationships with young people which will support the care andassessment process and encourage them to participate fully in theopportunities offered by the home andorganisation.
  • Good adminskills.
  • To participate in inhousestaff development and trainingprogrammes.
  • Being fully aware ofracial cultural and religious issues and antioppressivepractice.
  • Rightto Work in the UK
  • NVQ lev 2preferred.
  • 6 Months UK experience ofworking within a similar setting
  • 5years of professionalreferences
