We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at Heathrow Immigration Removal Center located in West Drayton.

Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £50,400 per annum - depending on experience.

To apply for a position at Heathrow IRC, all applicants need to have been a resident in the United Kingdom for the last 5 years with no more than a 28-day break in being outside of the UK and no gaps in employment during this time. This is to ensure that we can obtain the appropriate checks.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will

Be responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients mental health needs within the Immigration Removal Centre (IRC). You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan. You will have a passion for learning and development, as well as having the initiative to bring new ideas and opinions on how to improve the healthcare services. Prison Healthcare experience is not essential although we do ask that you have experience within primary care.

It is one of the largest immigration removal center's in Europe, with a capacity of 965 residents mainly adult males, however it does house some adult female detainees.
