About the Role


We are looking for a qualified Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Heathrow Immigration Removal Center, located in West Drayton. As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for the assessment and ongoing management of our patients’ mental health needs within the Immigration Removal Centre (IRC). You will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.

The Health in Justice team at Practice Plus Group makes a real difference across over 53 prisons, young offenders and immigration removal centres. We are the UK’s leading independent provider of NHS services to over 40,000 patients in secure environments, always putting their needs first, regardless of their background.



About You


We are looking for a caring, compassionate but also driven professional who can help us drive our vision for a fair and inclusive healthcare access to all. You will be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse with a real passion for developing your clinical skills in an environment that is ever-changing. You will either have experience within clinical management or be ready to take the next step in your career towards leading a team of clinical professionals.



What We Offer


As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, you will receive an annual salary up to £50,400 per annum - depending on experience. We offer bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course, competency framework, regional and national career development opportunities, and our bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needs. You will also receive support from the wider team.



Requirements


To apply for this position, you must have been a resident in the United Kingdom for the last 5 years with no more than a 28-day break in being outside of the UK and no gaps in employment during this time. This is to ensure that we can obtain the appropriate checks.



About the Location


Heathrow Immigration Removal Centre is a detentions centre located next to Heathrow Airport in Harmondsworth, London Borough of Hillingdon. It is one of the largest immigration removal centre's in Europe, with a capacity of 965 residents mainly adult males, however it does house some adult female detainees.
