The primary focus will be on business development, specification, and contractor acquisition to achieve annual territorial targets aligned with Brett Martin's overall turnover.
About The Role
MAIN TASKS AND DUTIES:Implement the Area Business Development Plan to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business goals.
Foster relationships with "House Builders and Main Building Contractors" at a high level to enhance business opportunities.
Cultivate strong ties with Builders Merchants specializing in "Civils Contractors," participating from tender stage through to order.
Identify and target Rain Water Distributors and Installers, emphasizing both Gloss and the Cascade Range.
Conduct Company-prepared CPDs for Specifiers and Company Presentations for Contractors and House Builders.
Maintain accurate customer records in the Company CRM System for Merchants, Specifiers, and Contractors.
Submit timely and accurate reports, studies, and other required documentation.
Keep abreast of competitor activity and market conditions/trends through effective market intelligence gathering.
Interpret Site Drawings and Regulations to advise on the suitability of Brett Martin products for various applications.
Ensure Specifiers, House Builders, Building Contractors, and Merchants have up-to-date literature for Brett Martin products.
Increase Brett Martin product stocking within the existing customer base through business development and contractor acquisition.
Negotiate with customers to achieve sales objectives set by the National Sales Manager.
Service merchant outlets with appropriate Point of Sale material to maximize sales potential.
Provide training to Merchant customer personnel for selling Brett Martin products.
Investigate and resolve complaints promptly to maintain Brett Martin's reputation.
Develop effective journey planning in agreement with the National Sales Manager.
Record customer reports and interviews daily.
Assist the National Sales Manager with any additional duties to achieve area objectives.
Provide a professional service to the customer base to enhance Brett Martin's reputation and sales opportunities.
Overcome area price point problems to increase sales profit in a highly competitive market.
Ensure customer payments are within terms and administer credit claims accurately.
Maintain the company car in a clean and professional manner, stocked with company brochures and samples.
Maintain high-level communications between yourself, management, and customers.
Keep the National Sales Manager informed of impending situations that could develop into more serious problems.
Develop mutual respect with colleagues by ensuring all dealings are objective and impartial.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment, particularly within your car.
Ensure compliance with Company policies regarding Health & Safety matters.
Any other duties as may reasonably be required.
