Hastings & Rother Healthcare are currently looking for a full-time Clinical Administrator to join our dynamic and evolving organisation. Previous experience of working in a busy general practice environment would be an advantage, however we would encourage applications from candidates with experience in a busy administration role.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible forundertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and theprovision of administrative support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties caninclude, but are not limited to, the processing of information (electronic andhard copy) in a timely manner, liaising with multidisciplinary team members andexternal agencies such as secondary care and community service providers and inaccordance with current policies, including the use of the electronic referralservice (ERS). The role will also include a support function to the widerPatient Services Department which will include but not limited to theprocessing of prescriptions & telephone call handling.

Full training will be provided.

About us

Hastings & Rother Healthcare is a three-surgery partnership,which consists of Churchwood Medical Practice, Hastings Old Town Surgery, andWarrior Square Surgery, providing general medical services to a patient list ofapproximately 25,000 patients in Hastings & St Leonards.

We have a highly skilled clinical team working across the sites, which include; experienced GPs, Practice Nurses, HCAs, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Pharmacists, Paramedic Practitioners, a Mental Health Nurse and Physiotherapists.

Job responsibilities

Qualifications

Essential

Minimum requirement of GCSEs A-D including a C in English or equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

Knowledge of general office procedures. IT literacy including excellent proficiency in word processing, excel and data entry. Understand and have a commitment to the principles of equal opportunity and diversity. Confident and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Good organisational skills.

Desirable

Knowledge of EMIS Web.
