We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced HR professional. Delivering against our People Strategy, you will play a critical role in delivering under the Voice and Belonging themes and working with colleagues to contribute to the wider People Strategy.

The Senior HR Adviser will be responsible for leading the smooth and effective delivery of the service, working closely with the other Senior Adviser in the team to achieve required outcomes. This is a newly formed team with a need to make progress at pace, balancing business as usual and transformational activity.

We are in a transitional period with a need to modernise our terms and conditions and policy approach and as a team we have high ambition to make a real impact across our workforce. The post holder will lead the transformation of our approach to policies, ensuring they align and reflect the organisations direction of travel and mindset. Working with and maintaining constructive relations with our trade union colleagues will also be a fundamental part of the role.

The team have responsibility for essential business as usual activity including statutory reporting, such as Data Transparency and Gender Pay Gap reporting. It is important that these activities are delivered in an efficient and productive way.

Who you are

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced HR professional with a proven track record of delivering HR solutions and leading a high performing team. We are looking for candidates who;

•             Are self-motivated and driven

•             Can work collaboratively across People & Culture to achieve desired outcomes

•             Bring attention to detail with the ability to analyse and effectively harness HR data, while always considering the use of technology to ensure efficiency

•             Can network successfully with a capacity to benchmark to support business case and decision making

•             Have strong negotiation and influencing skills to achieve successful outcomes

•             Have strong written skills with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely

•             Think creatively, with the ability to turn ideas in to tangible outcomes.

You will play an important role in shaping and enhancing our policy and relations approach to support the needs of the organisation and our people, to ensure they have a voice and supports our managers in leading high performing teams.
