About your work

You will be the key Subject Matter Expert for all financial matters related to theLendInvest Capital division. Success will require you to have a keen understanding of the lending product set, the related funding lines, the specific accounting treatments underIFRS and the interaction between the various group entities. You will take ownership forthe integrity of the financial accounting and reporting for this division - you will takenothing at face value and will constantly challenge ways of working to make them morereliable, efficient and timely.

Financial reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance withapplicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Financial accounting for the multiple legal entities used by the Division, payingclose attention to the accounting treatment in respect of on/off balance sheetassets as well as the transfer pricing arrangements between group entities.

Ensuring that the recording of interest income, fees and interest costs is correct.Although you may not be directly responsible for the calculations, you will beresponsible for secondary assurance in respect of any IFRS adjustments to thereport result (including hedging costs, EIR adjustments and deferred recognition ofrelevant income and expenses related to the loan book and funding lines)

Working closely with colleagues in the Financial Operations team to ensure theaccuracy and integrity of financial data, maintaining a strong control environment.This will include the preparation and 4-eye review of balance sheet accountreconciliations

Financial analysis

You will collaborate closely with the FP&A team on the annual budgeting processand the monthly reporting of performance in comparison with the budget and prioryear

Undertaking detailed review and variance analysis of monthly P&Ls to provideinsightful commentary to support performance improvement and business decisionmaking

Monitor and report on key financial metrics such as loan portfolio performance, NIMand default rates. Evaluate profitability and cost efficiency of lending operations,identifying areas for improvement

Develop financial models and projects to assess the impact of different scenarioson business performance

Regulatory compliance

Prepare files for external audit review and assisting with the annual audit and halfyear review process

Prepare annual statutory accounts under IFRS or FRS for audit

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements

Stay up to date with accounting and regulatory standards and implement necessary

changes in financial processes and systems

Prepare regulatory reports and submissions accurately and within specified

deadlines

Team leadership/development

You will be responsible for a small team of direct reports and will be required tocollaborate closely with relevant colleagues in Group Reporting, FP&A and FinOps

Mentor the junior members of your team by providing guidance and training androle modelling appropriate behaviours

Representing the Finance team to the wider business

Foster a culture of continuous improvement

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive effective decision-making and business outcomes

About You

A relevant accounting qualification

Financial services experience

Experience of working within a financial accounting role

Strong fundamental accounting skills

Strong Excel and financial analytical skills including the ability to provide clear,

meaningful commentary

Strong organisational, planning and interpersonal skills

High energy, pragmatic, get-it-done attitude

Ability to mentor and influence both within and outside the finance team

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent attention to detail, efficient and organised

Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines

Nice to have

Line management or team management experience

Previous experience with working with Oracle Netsuite

Experience and understanding of FCA regulatory reporting, including MLAR

Previous experience with accounting within a lending or real estate environment
