Essential

Willingness to undertake additional training in line with service needs as listed under desirable Herbicide/Pesticide - PA and PA6 and Chainsaws - Safe handing of use or similar equivalent experience Basic building/Engineering Qualification to Level 2 or equivalent experience

Desirable

Horticultural/Agricultural Manual Handling

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of grounds and gardens maintenance Basic engineering/building work experience in an acceptable similar enviroment

Desirable

Use of horticultural machinery and equipment chain saws and multi-gang mowing machines Application and use of herbicides and pesticide

Skills

Sound knowledge of the raising and care of plants, their seasonal application and needs, and use of associated tools and equipment Basic engineering and building maintenance including use of non-specialist, basic tools Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines in a demand driven service Ability to work at height from appropriate equipment Numerate and IT literate Good organisational, time management and communication skills Flexible approach to hours. Out of hours is essential for snow and ice clearance Able to communicate well with others and show good leadership
