About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Grounds Maintenance Contracts Manager to join our team at Commercial Services Group. As a key member of our management structure, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of our services to customers and ensuring the wellbeing and requirements of our staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily and weekly scheduling and management of the operational teams' workload, ensuring specific routes and rounds are followed, and recommending alternative solutions with consideration to geography, customer type and equipment required.
  • Attend customer and site meetings alongside the Regional Contracts Manager, developing an understanding of – and assisting with – the pricing and supply of quotations for ad-hoc works.
  • Undertake various safety inspections for the purpose of better protecting our staff, customers and the public, including site safety inspections, vehicle inspections and equipment checks.
  • Plan, organise and supervise all equipment, staff and materials to avoid wastage and ensure compliance with required standards, ensuring chemical usage complies with current legislation.
  • Act as support and deputy for the Regional Contracts Manager as required, stepping into operational duties during periods of high staff sickness, leave or busier seasons.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in the industry, preferably in grounds maintenance.
  • Proficient understanding of contract agreements and risk management.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with senior managers and stakeholders.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
  • PA1A, PA6A is desirable.
