• Salesforce (License and Permit Managementbroader CRM platform capabilities)
• REST APIframeworks in various languages

• Mobile application frameworks (e.g. React XamarinSalesforce Einstein)

Description: As a result oforganizational consolidation the Department of Licensing (DOL) isembarking on a modernization effort to replace three siloedsoftware systems with a single standardized platform. TheTechnology Architect role is crucial in this initiative providingtechnical leadership support and direction to DOL and externalvendor teams involved in implementing and maintaining the newplatform.

The Technology Architect will reportto the Associate Deputy Commissioner of Technology Analytics andDigital Transformation overseeing the Agencys technologymodernization digital transformation and data analyticsinitiatives.

RoleObjectives:

• Providetechnical leadership guidance and support to DOL and externalvendor teams.
• Work on largescale webapplications ensuring solutions are scalable and accessible tomillions of Massachusetts constituents.
• Utilize modern tools and programming languages withexpertise in Salesforce REST API frameworks databases CI/CD andDevOps tools.
• Collaborate with externalvendors and internal teams advocating for DOL and ensuring thedelivery of highquality software on time and as per agreeduponfunctionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to seethe big picture while delving into technical details overseeingsoftware development data engineering analytics QA processes andUser Experience (UX).

Qualifications:

• Proven experience leading development teams and reportingto executives in a senior role.
• Background inworking with largescale web applications preferably in a seniortechnical role on a significant software project.
• Deep handson experience with modern tools and programminglanguages including Salesforce REST API frameworks databases CI/CDand DevOps tools.
• Familiarity with mobileapplication frameworks (e.g. React Xamarin SalesforceEinstein).
• Experience with both waterfall andagile software delivery methodologies.
• Knowledge of SaaS and IaaS platforms including Amazon WebServices Microsoft Azure Salesforce cloud Snowflake andothers.
• Proficiency in performance testing andtuning.

Preferred:

• Experience in advocating for DOL with external vendorsensuring alignment with technology roadmaps.
• Familiarity with performance testing and tuningmethodologies.
