RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Executive Office of Economic Development (EOED) seeksa Data Analyst who will be responsible for assessing data invarious systems that support the Home Improvement Contractorregistrations and renewals process the enforcement program thearbitration program and the Guaranty Fund. The Data Analyst isexpected to interact with the business stakeholder and technicalapplication development resources and a thirdpartyintegrator.

Responsibilities

The Data Analyst assists the project championand others in with the following:

  • Collaborate with internal business units andstakeholders to conduct business data metadata and technologyanalysis. The work involves identifying data/metadata anomaliesdata cleansing and analysis data architecture and assessing dataquality and making improvement recommendations.
  • Design and execute data testing plans to assure that datameets quality standards. The work involves combining data elementsfrom various resources (spreadsheets SQL and Access databases) andevaluating data quality and unique identifiers to create mash upsof disparate data sets.
  • Maintain records oftime spent on assigned tasks and provide information as requiredfor project management and other administrativepurposes.
  • The Data Analyst works with mostphases of data analysis while considering the business andtechnical implications of the application of technology to currentand future business environments.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and modify moderatelycomplex information;
  • Analyze data and userneeds document requirements;
  • Recommend andfacilitate quality improvement efforts.

Overview:

We arelooking for a detailoriented analytical Data Analyst to support ourdatadriven systems migration. The ideal candidate will have astrong background in data analysis statistics and programming alongwith the ability to translate complex data into actionableinsights. This role will involve working closely withcrossfunctional teams to gather analyze and interpret data as wellas develop reports and visualizations to communicate findingseffectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect clean and preprocess data from varioussources to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Perform indepth data analysis to identify trends patternsand insights.
  • Develop and maintain data modelsalgorithms and statistical methods to extract insights from largedatasets.
  • Create and automate reportsdashboards and visualizations to present findings tostakeholders.
  • Collaborate with teams acrossthe organization to understand business requirements and provideanalytical support.
  • Establish datadictionaries and ObjectRelational Mapping (ORM) from SQLServer/Access/Excel to Salesforce
  • Workcollaboratively with the thirdparty implementation partner todevelop data migration scripts

QualificationsRequired:

  • Provenexperience as a Data Analyst or similar role with a strongunderstanding of data manipulation analysis and visualizationtechniques.
  • Proficiency in programminglanguages such as Python R SQL or similar tools for data analysisand manipulation.
  • Experience with datavisualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI for creatinginteractive dashboards and reports.
  • Stronganalytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to translatecomplex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with theability to effectively communicate technical findings tonontechnical stakeholders.
  • Ability to workindependently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment with astrong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze requirements (e.g. business functionalsystem) to identify and eliminate ambiguity.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise technical andnontechnical documentation.
  • Strongorganizational and prioritization skills; ability to managemultiple tasks and deadlines; exhibits flexibility and tolerancefor ambiguity with the ability to thrive in a rapid businessenvironment; selfstarter; and results oriented.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and data mapping and migrationstrategies
