My client are seeking to appoint a driven, proactive and conscientious Pastoral Administrator, to support the Key stage Pastoral Leader and Key Stage tutors in supporting all students in the key stage to achieve their full potential.

Job Description:

Core purpose:

To support the Key stage Pastoral Leader and Key Stage tutors in supporting all students in the key stage to achieve their full potential.

Key Functions

  • Secure handling of information
  • To communicate relevant student information to staff under the direction of the Key Stage Pastoral Manager, identifying the most effective communication needs
  • Daily logging of incidents and pastoral information, updating confidential records, management of rewards and sanctions, monitoring of and chasing up missed detentions, phone calls home to parents, undertaking the initial paperwork for referrals to alternative provision
  • To prepare letters and undertake mail merges ensuring student data is accurate
  • To book arrangements and disseminating information for key events, such as rewards trips
  • Compiling weekly behaviour and achievement reports for the Head of Key Stage and Key Stage Tutors
  • Attending pastoral meetings and taking minutes
  • Maintaining the detention system, sending detention notifications to parents and following up absences from detentions
  • To maintain and update Year notice boards promoting the school and Year activities.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that SIMS is updated regularly and compliantly, and that all appropriate information is recorded in student data files accurately and in a timely fashion, such as exclusions, managed moves, sanctions/rewards and health/medical information.
