We havean opening for a Structural Engineer to join our team at ourLeicester office to undertake designs on a variety of projects fromsmall domestic extensions to large multistorey apartment and officedevelopments. Working alongside colleagues within the local officeas well as those in other parts of the Group you will be encouragedto develop your design experience and skills and be supported toobtain accreditation to the Institute of StructuralEngineers.
With project costs up to 12m and theuse of the latest design software the role offers an excitingopportunity to engage in impactful highvalue projects. Acompetitive salary of up to 40k will be offered commensurate withthe importance of this role within ourcompany.
JMS Group is part of the StructuralEngineering Alliance Group (SEAG) a collective of esteemedengineering firms each distinguished in its respective field unitedby a shared vision of pioneeringprogress.
Responsibilities:
- Usethe latest design software to create and manage structuraldesigns.
- Liaise with key clients and discussdesign/technical solutions with team members andstakeholders.
- Ensure projects are appropriatelyresourced delegating work to team members programming deliverablesand monitoring progress.
- Prepare calculationsdrawings details specifications and reports for a wide range ofstructures andmaterials
Qualifications:
- Bachelorsdegree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent (Mastersdegree preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years ofprofessional experience in structuralengineering.
