We havean opening for a Senior Structural Engineer in the Midlands region.Where as a critical part of our team you will Lead an Engineeringcost centre(s).
With project costs up to 12m andthe use of the latest design software the role offers an excitingopportunity to engage in impactful highvalue projects. Acompetitive salary up to 60k will be offered commensurate with theimportance of this role within our company.
JMSGroup is part of the Structural Engineering Alliance Group (SEAG) acollective of esteemed engineering firms each distinguished in itsrespective field united by a shared vision of pioneeringprogress.
Responsibilities:
- Leadan Engineering cost centre(s) for our MidlandRegion.
- Use latest design software to createand manage structural designs.
- Liaise with keyclients and discuss design/technical solutions with team membersand stakeholders.
- Ensure projects areappropriately resourced delegating work to team members programmingdeliverables and monitoring progress.
- Providesupport and guidance to junior staff fostering their developmentand progression.
- Prepare calculations drawingsdetails specifications and reports for a wide range of structuresand materials
- Implement Company policies andensure adherence across your team.
- Monitor andoversee project budgets and staff resources for projectsundertaken.
- Develop existing customerrelationships and promote JMSs services.
- Assistin achieving targeted revenues from current and newcustomers.
Qualifications:
- CharteredEngineer status (CEng) would beadvantageous
- Bachelors degree in Civil orStructural Engineering or equivalent (Masters degreepreferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of professionalexperience in structural engineering.
- Proventrack record of cost estimation and projectmanagement.
- Prior experience working withhistoric buildings is highlydesirable.
