About the role

Benefact Group, are looking for a Finance Analyst - Change to join our Gloucester office.

 As Finance Analyst you will act as subject matter expert representing Group Finance, leading on defined development activities with a particular focus on business readiness and change.

Key responsibilities
  • Proactively identify opportunities for change in Group Finance and Finance Operations which will lead to process efficiency and better working practices
  • Develop a deep understanding of required changes in working practices, flows of work and processes that business projects will generate
  • Provide expertise and support for all Group Finance projects ensuring the business is ready prior to any change implementation
  • Support, and where appropriate lead on, the planning and delivery of bespoke business change plans for Finance Operations
  • Maintain relevant stakeholder contacts and co-ordinating SME’s within the wider business to keep up to date with project developments to ensure a joined up approach to delivery
  • Lead on the production of work instructions and other key documents relating to all change activity
  • Support the Finance Change Manager and Group Finance leadership team as required on change activity
  • Represent Group Finance within defined programmes to ensure clarity of deliverables and associated qualitative measures
  • Escalate any project risks to the relevant stakeholders
  • On an ad-hoc basis support BAU activity as defined by the Finance Change Manager
Knowledge, skills and experience
  • Professional accounting qualification or qualified by experience, plus extensive experience in a Finance role
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of Finance Operations systems and processes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proven experience in process improvement, design, and implementation
  • Effective influencing and communication skills
  • Good understanding of how Finance and other business functions integrate to achieve excellent customer outcomes
