This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as part of our rehabilitation team covering Acute Neurology and Medicine based at the Royal Devon & Exeter main site (Wonford).

This post will involve providing a range of therapeutic interventions, treatments and exercise programmes to patients and liaising with patients and family/carers in discharge planning and prevention of falls.

Post holders will be expected to support the physical limitations of a patient’s disability and their functional problems and deliver early routine rehabilitation following assessment by the qualified practitioner. There will be a requirement to develop strong links with the multidisciplinary teams working in the acute and community settings. The caseload will be patients with acute or long term conditions and are being assessed for discharge home or to their normal place of residence.

All members of the team will be expected to work across all areas and be available to work at weekends and bank holidays. The post holder will work flexibly in other areas if required.

Working Pattern: hours per week, Tuesday to Friday : to : (weekends on a rota basis - approximate frequency - one weekend day every four weekends)
