Job summary

We are looking for anexperienced commissioning manager who is passionate about improving outcomesfor children, young people and families to joinour Childrens Commissioning and Contract Management team.

Following a period of growth, this is anexciting time to join our team that has tripled in size in the last 18 monthsand functions as a professional, resilient and well-established commissioningservice.

You will be joining a supportive andhighly skilled team which champions Bradfords commissioning and contractmanagement practice and functions as key driver for developing services forchildren within the wider health and care partnership.

The role will work as part of a widerchildrens commissioning and contract management team that commissions earlyhelp, SEND and education services as well as placements for children in careand other specialist services.

Main duties of the job

This role is focused specifically oncommissioning services to meet the needs of children looked after. You will work as part of a team to developthe childrens sufficiency strategy and to develop local provider markets tomeet commissioning needs for children looked after and care leavers.

Successful candidates will demonstrate anunderstanding of the legislation and working practices related to thispopulation of young people, particularly in regard to the provision offostering and childrens home placements. They should have previous experienceof working in a commissioning role and demonstrate a commitment to ensuringthat children and young people have a voice and ability to influence servicesthey access.
