Accounts Payable Assistant

We are a top civil engineering company delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.
This is a great opportunity for a proactive, analytical, and organised person looking to advance their accounting career to join a dynamic management reporting team of four covering all aspects of business reporting, forecasting, analysis and partnering.
What you'll do:
You'll process invoices accurately, compliantly, and promptly. You'll also handle queries, reconcile statements, and communicate with suppliers and colleagues.
What we offer:
This is a hybrid role in Reigate for 2 days/week. The contract is 6 months and may be extended.

About you:
- You are adaptable, self-motivated, and good at dealing with ambiguity.
- You are organised, logical, and diligent.
- You have strong communication skills and a good telephone manner.
- You can multitask and work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- You take initiative and solve problems practically. You are positive and flexible.
You'll bring:
- Experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction, infrastructure or related sectors.
- A good working knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and ideally hold an AAT qualification or equivalent.
- Good IT skills, and the ability to use Excel confidently.
- Understanding of ERP systems, preferably COINS or similar.
