Head of QA – FinTech / Investment

Oliver Bernard are currently working with a leading FinTech / Investment client of ours, based in Central London, who are seeking a Head of QA to join them and be responsible for transforming and developing Quality processes across the business.

The incoming Head of QA will inherit three Testing teams, two based in London, and one overseas, so prior experience managing cross-border functions is a must-have. All highly technical teams, you'll lead a combination of Mid-Level, Senior and Lead QAs (~10-15 in size), whilst working with development teams in their push to strive for improved levels of Automation and Quality in an Agile and Transformational manner across the business.

This role will be hands-off in nature, with predominant responsibilities focused around people management, directing the test strategy and advocating for testing best practices. However, you must come from a hands-on/engineering background, with an understanding of how to implement Test Automation practices from scratch, and helping scale these processes across technical teams.

This role presents an ideal opportunity for a Head of QA/Test Manager ready to further their career in an adaptable environment, with large amounts of autonomy in the role to shape and drive a company with clear plans.

To be considered, you must have at least 3-4 years’ experience as a QA Manager, and have the following experience:

  1. Previous hands-on experience in a Java and JavaScript driven Automation environments
  2. Framework experience with the likes of Selenium, Cucumber, as well as CI, API and Performance Testing experience in the past
  3. Able to define and implement lean Agile test processes to transform a QA department
  4. Collaborate with testing and development teams to implement robust automation from scratch, whilst driving Quality across the wider tech department
  5. Must have prior experience managing multiple teams in different geographical locations
  6. Strong experience implementing a test strategy and roadmap, whilst reporting processes
