Assistant Performance and Operations Manager Cardiology

Job summary
Support the Performance and Operations Manager for Cardiology and Respiratory with the delivery of day-to-day activity across the inpatient, elective and outpatient pillars with a particular focus on driving activity levels towards the funded capacity position. This role has a pivotal link element into the outpatient department to ensure that clinics are loaded out to a 6 week horizon and that all available appointments are maximised. The successful candidate will also review all pertinent performance reports to monitor and adjust if necessary activity within each sub-specialty within both cardiology and respiratory.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will contribute to the delivery of performance targets through effective communication and liaison with Consultant, medical, nursing and administration staff across the Trust on a day-to-day basis. As part of ensuring the delivery of performance targets, this role involves organising and analysing complex data.
Cardiology and Respiratory are dynamic and busy departments. There is a requirement for a flexible mind and positive approach to problem solving. All Team members are supportive of the overall outputs of the department and you will be joining a friendly, professional area within the Department of Medicine.

Job responsibilities
Drive activity towards the funded capacity position.
Liaise closely with the Outpatient department to ensure all clinics are loaded and that appointments are filled.
Admin validate the PTL
Admin validate the Overdue Wait List.
Admin Validate clinical pathways on each wait list to ensure that clinical pathways are appropriate and that all activity has either been conducted or is planned.
Ensure clinic rooms have been booked to support proposed clinical activity.
Work closely with the Performance and Operations Manager to maintain operational and tactical effectiveness and efficiency with Cardiology and Respiratory.
Support the ILD Consultant with the delivery of the ILD MDT.
