The In Life Service Team (ILST) sit within Business Change with responsibility for all analysis, design and implementation of small change. We work closely with all functions within Business Change, sharing knowledge and experience to deliver the best outcomes for our customers. As Business Analyst in this team, you will perform a varied and flexible role ensuring that Business Requirements are delivered to a professional and high standard to our stakeholders and clients.

You operate as the interface between business and technical departments to ensure that proposed solutions are valid, documented and meet the correct business functionality requirements and industry standards. You are responsible for driving and implementing internal improvement initiatives within the team and across the Change function.

Main day to-day responsibilities include:

Investigating, gathering, analysing and documenting the detailed business requirements for enhancements to existing client solutions Capturing requirements in accordance with time, cost and quality objectives and in line with the Target business analysis methodology Identifying gaps in current products or solutions, and providing feedback to the Product Management team Ensuring handovers of change greater than 50 days to Project Management are effectively managed Leading on/supporting initiatives for improvements, working with the Team Lead to establish, implement and continually improve processes Providing and validating cost estimates based on knowledge and Impact Analysis activity Reviewing and monitoring Business Analyst estimates during the project lifecycle, escalating increases where necessary Leading on/participating in all client workshops to understand internal and external client project goals, configuration requirements, workflows, complex business needs, gaps and opportunities

Requirements

We're looking for candidates with the following skills:

Analytical, thorough and effectively manages their own workload against deadlines An effective communicator An enthusiastic team player who establishes strong working relationships Influential, with excellent stakeholder management skills A keen problem solver, someone who thinks outside the box Strategic and can apply this to a wide range of business situations

The right candidate will ideally have experience working in the Financial Services industry (Fintech is a bonus) and will also have:

Proven Business Analysis experience including requirements re-engineering, stakeholder management and process mapping Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Experience coaching and developing less experienced colleagues IIBA CBAP qualification (desirable) ISEB Business Analysis Qualification (desirable)

The following experience would be desirable but not essential for the role:

Experience of the Lending and/or Investments markets Process Mapping & Use case (UML) experience Experience of “Lean” Process Methodologies An awareness of the principles of Information Technology
