An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Psychological Therapist or Clinical Psychologist to join a well-established Looked After and Adopted children's team in Bradford CAMHS. The successful applicant will join a multi-disciplinary team including mental health practitioner, Social Workers, Occupational Therapist, Drama Therapist, Play Therapist, CBT therapist, Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic psychotherapist, Clinical psychologist, and Forensic psychologist some of whom have undertaken other specialisms such as EMDR. There are also trainee Child and adolescent psychoanalytic psychotherapist along with DDP clinicians working towards their practicum.

We have a close working relationship with Childrens Social Care and the Children In Care Nurses . We use a Consultation, Assessment and Therapy Model working closely with other CAMHS teams where necessary.

Main duties of the job

Provide evidence based psychological therapy, making autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice. Provide clinical supervision, consultation and advice to Psychological Therapists. Assist the Team Manager with service development, including research and development activities.

Qualifications

Essential

Qualified Psychologist OR Professional background in a mental health or health discipline requiring training to at least first-degree level. AND Registration with own core profession. AND Specialist post graduate training to masters level or equivalent in a psychotherapeutic modality - including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Systemic Therapy AND Accreditation from a recognised Psychological Therapy body BABCP, BACP, UKCP.

Desirable

ENB 998 or other teaching certificate

Experience

Essential

Experience in relevant area of mental health practise. Application of evidenced based psychological therapies relevant to the clinical service. Clinical leadership experience

Desirable

Involvement in innovative clinical practice.
