Hays Senior Finance are delighted to be working with a well-established organisation in Tamworth as they look to recruit a Senior FP&A Analyst on a permanent basis. Our client are part of a larger Group and specialise in the distribution and maintenance of fleet vehicles for some of the largest brands. The company are currently going through a lot of change so this is a great opportunity to make an impact and develop within an exciting business.

Your new role
Reporting into the FP&A Manager and joining a small team, you will be responsible for the management and preparation of key budgeting and forecasting processes for the company. You will also play a key role in providing analysis and reporting, partnering with leaders across the business.

Main duties:

Co-ordination and preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts Lead in the preparation of the month-end commentary pack Design and development of regular KPIs and reporting for management Partnering with senior management to help them understand financial information Investigation and analysis of variances, planning and identifying action plans Collaboration with the Management Accountant to ensure revenue and expenses are recorded Management of weekly cashflow forecasts and reviewing work of FP&A Analyst Drive continuous improvement to FP&A processes Continue development of IBM Planning Analytics and IBM Cognos Analytics Coach and support the development of FP&A Analyst

What you'll need to succeed

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Previous experience in an FP&A team or financial reporting role with a strong understanding of accounting principles/concepts and financial statement analysis Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to interrogate underlying financial information in order to achieve results Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to explain financial details to both finance and non-finance personnel Advanced Excel skills and excellent ERP system knowledge (prior experience of IBM Planning Analytics and Cognos Analytics would be beneficial)
