Role: Lecturer in Art and Design - Animation and Digital Illustration

Location: Bedford College - Cauldwell Campus

Salary: Salary from £31,000 (pro rata) DOE and Qualification, 45 days annual leave (plus public holidays), Teacher's Pension, Retail and leisure discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.

Hours: 29.6 per week (0.8 FTE)

Contract Type: Permanent – Part Time

About the role:

We are looking for a Lecturer of Art and Design join The Bedford College Group. As a Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of the students through:

Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses as required. Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential. Managing students’ learning and provide a high-quality learning experience. Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching. Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.

About you:

Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent professional qualifications in Art & Design/ Animation English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C Certificate in Education or equivalent or willingness to work towards. Recent experience of planning, delivering teaching and assessing of Animation on level 3 courses. Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds Ability to demonstrate excellent technical skills in digital image editing and manipulation software – Experience in the understanding of contemporary Animation Ability to demonstrate excellent technical skills in using studio equipment and set-ups in Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing Ability to consistently support a high quality learning experience for all students Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face
