About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Lecturer in Art and Design (Graphics) to join The Bedford College Group. As a Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students by preparing, delivering, and assessing subject specialisms on a range of courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences for students.
  • Assess and provide feedback to students on their progress and achievement.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum and innovative teaching practices.
  • Participate in marketing and promotion activities to support our programmes and learning opportunities.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree, HND, HNC, or equivalent professional qualifications in Art & Design/Graphic Design.
  • English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C.
  • Certificate in Education or equivalent.
  • Recent experience of planning, delivering, and assessing Graphic Design on level 3 courses.
  • Knowledge of current developments in your specialist area.
  • Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Evidence of understanding how to promote equality and diversity within the job role.
  • Knowledge of and experience in delivering a diverse range of art-based techniques and processes within an Arts context in FE.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent technical skills of art equipment and set-ups.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face-to-face, on the telephone, and in writing.
