To clean allcommon parts of a housing estate in accordance with the local workprogramme schedules and frequencies. Methods require which notexclusively willinclude.

The sweepingand/or washing of all communal staircases. Entrances foyers/passages courtyards. car parks hard standing areas. Chute chamberrooms and refuse storgerooms.

The cleaningand/or washing of lift car floors and walls lamp shades anddiffusers estate signs stair balustrades estate furniture and othersuch communal fixtures and fittings as may beprescribed.

In accordancewith the local work programme schedules and frequencies and or asrequired.

Remove andcleanly dispose of any overspill in refuse container storagerooms.

Rotate refusecontainers to avoid such overspills asrequired.

Check refusechutes and if possible clear blockages. If not possible to clearreport to the Neighbourhood Caretaking Team Leader or otherappropriateofficer.

Empty and Cleanlitter Bins

Remove weedsand other plant material as required from hard standingareas.

Litter pick allestate shrubs/rose/flowerbeds.

Sweep all hardstanding communal areas including car parks playgrounds and dryingarea.

Remove graffitifrom any estate area within agreed timescales:Abusive/offensive/illegal24 hours. All other graffiti within 5working days

To Liaise withresidents Estate Wardens and other services in emergencysituations

To ensure thatall estate incidents are recorded and such information provided tothe Neighbourhood Caretaking TeamLeader

To ensure alltask undertaken are carried out in accordance with Health andSafetyguidelines.

EssentialExperienceRequired:

Must be anexperienced caretaker preferably in a public sector/local authoritysetting.
