Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a Learning Support Practitioner at an outstanding school based in Huddersfield to support the learning of children with complex needs ages 5-19.

  • Full-time (Mon-Fri 8:30am-15:30pm)
  • SEN-based school
  • Supporting to pupils with a range of needs


The role:

  • To work with individuals and small groups of children delivering interventions
  • Working closely with the teacher, liaising with the teacher to support a range of needs
  • To provide personal and intimate care to students where necessary
  • seek from students the highest standard of behaviour and discipline both within and outside the school
  • To develop a friendly and trusting relationship with students

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have an overseas criminal clearance or willing to apply for one
  • Have a child enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
  • Previous or relevant experience working with SEND children
  • Minimum of three months UK residency
