Job Title: Autism Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Specialist to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a Behavioural Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs, including those with autism, in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including those with autism.
* Assist students with daily tasks, such as personal care and hygiene.
* Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
* Utilize knowledge of special education practices and strategies to support students' academic and social development.

Requirements:

* Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs and challenging behaviours.
* Knowledge of special education practices and strategies.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
* Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviours.
