Job Title: Primary Autism Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Autism Support Assistant to join our team at a Specialist Autism School in Huddersfield. As a key member of our support staff, you will work closely with students aged 6-11 years who have severe Autism and complex needs.

About the Role:
  • Provide individualized support to students with Autism, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Assist with personal care, including changing and toileting, as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment, promoting the well-being and safety of all students.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Level 3 Qualification in a relevant field.
  • Experience working with young people with complex needs and Autism.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with students, teachers, and parents.
  • DBS clearance and willingness to complete regular updates.
