Job Title: Autism Support Assistant College

Location: Huddersfield

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Assistant to join our team at a Specialist Autism School in Huddersfield. As an Autism Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the independence of students with Autism, aged 16-19 years, in a college-level setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with Autism in developing life skills and independence
  • Assist with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for students to learn and grow

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Level 3 Qualification
  • Experience working with young people with complex needs
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Full-time availability
  • DBS on the update service or willingness to complete one
