The purpose of the Facilities and Hard Services Manager (FHSM) role is to Plan and Manage the Facilities operation within Balfron High School and ensure the statutory PPM servicing and reactive breakdown service are carried out to good industry practice to properties located in Central /West of Scotland. Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, you will be based at Balfron High School, Stirling and provide support to the other sites within the North Region as required.

You will provide the highest standards in all aspects of Hard Services and Facilities Management related professions ensuring that working safely is paramount and that our subcontractors and internal colleagues work to the highest health and safety standards. You will provide client reports as required, maintain asset data in line with current legislation, provide guidance on lifecycle requests and ensure that VFM exercises are carried out to ensure best value to Bellrock and our lifecycle partners.

And as a Facilities and Hard Services Manager with Bellrock you’ll do it by

  • Taking the responsibility for the implementation of Bellrock Environmental and, health and safety policies applicable to the contract, and that a safe system of work is applied and adopted by all team members and sub-contractors.
  • Providing client reports as required, maintaining asset data in line with current legislation, providing guidance on lifecycle requests and ensuring that VFM exercises are carried out to ensure best value to Bellrock and our lifecycle partners.
  • Ensuring all Financial budgets are achieved and contribute to developing future budget planning and forecasting.
  • Providing reports to the Senior Facilities manager as required for all aspects of Facilities management within the contract.
  • Working within the budget constraints of the individual contract and showing commercial acumen when making decisions around forecasting and estimating works
  • Planning PPM servicing works and reactive maintenance repairs to our customer’s premises to agreed KPI response times carrying out repairs to the highest standards and reporting any immediate defects or further works required.
  • Receiving, attending and updating all jobs in a timely manner using the provided IT equipment, followed by accurate detailed records both electronically and in the site daily log books.
  • Ensuring that the help desk is always updated with the job progress, job completion, quotes required etc. and ensure the customer is updated as required at all times.
  • Ensuring all associated paperwork and certificates are completed.
  • Managing sub contractors on site.
  • Present a smart & pleasant demeanor when on and off site and engaging with the client.

  • City and Guilds Mechanical / Electrical Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a mechanical maintenance role is essential
  • IOSH
  • Corporate / Healthcare / HTM / Critical Environment - experience desirable
  • IT literacy essential (Word / Excel / CAFM usage)
  • Member of IWFM or similar
  • Experience in Facilities Management at contract level
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Experience in the management of training of all team members and improving team performance
  • Experience of large complex heating and water systems
  • Boiler and associated system component fault finding experience
  • Flexible work attitude and ability to adapt to client business demands
  • Respectful and professional presentation at all times
  • Good housekeeping and workplace organisation
