The Role

A fantastic opportunity for a methodical and process driven individual to join our busy Supply Chain Team as a Packaging Assistant

Applications are invited from committed, reliable and enthusiastic individuals, capable of operating efficiently in a dynamic environment. Reporting directly to the Packaging Manager, the Packaging Assistant will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be responsible for purchasing, inventory management and administrative support for the Packaging Team.

Key Responsibilities and duties will include, but not be restricted to:

Order and manage stock levels of all consumables, promotion and tray labels Update and maintain the packaging database Update and maintain Bills of Materials (promotion labels) Maintain the library of packaging supplier specifications Placing manual purchase orders and control the accuracy using supplier order confirmations Reconciliation and timely processing of Invoices Update and maintain packaging sample requests and deliveries To provide cover for other members of the Packaging Team in the event of their absence

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Excellent planning and organisational skills An ability to prioritise & work on own initiative Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, emails and the internet Ideally 1-2 years Fresh Produce or FMCG industry experience – Preferred
