About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Challenging Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join our team in Liverpool. This role involves working closely with students who exhibit challenging behaviours, providing them with the support they need to succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with challenging behaviour in a classroom setting
  • Assist teachers in creating and implementing behaviour management plans
  • Develop positive relationships with students to encourage their engagement and motivation
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted support
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young adults with challenging behaviour
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations
  • A proactive and positive attitude
  • Enhanced DBS check and on the update service (or willingness to undergo one)
